[Exchange] import and .ost file
Hello, I have an .ost file which belong to lets say user@company.nl. That user got deleted from the server, but the local .ost file is still there. Now ive added the same user, with the same e-mail adres in sbs/exchange to the server again.. but when the user pops up the Outlook program, the whole map is empty, just a new user. How can i import the .ost file into the new exchange account without paying for a converter tool? is this even possible? thanks

1. Natively this is not possible with Exch or Outlook. 2. You will have to use a 3rd party tool to convert the OST file to a PST file. Such as http://www.convertost.org/ - I'm sure there are others avaliable and others will suggest which tools you can use.Sukh

Hi If you have not removed the original Exchange account from Outlook, you can run Outlook in Offline mode and have access to the contents of the OST. You can then create a PST and copy that data to the PST. if you have removed the account, the only way to recover it is by using system restore. Go back before you removed the acct and work offline, export the ost to a pst then connect to exchange. The easiest way is to find 3rd tool to convert it. Hi ITWFO, As Terence Yu said, if you still have the original account in Outlook you can export the ost as pst file by running Outlook in offline mode. But if you have deleted the profile from Outlook then there is no other way except to use third party tool to convert ost to pst file. Import the resulting .pst file in Outlook to access its content.
